Ancona railway station, sometimes named ''Ancona Centrale'',〔(Links to "Ancona Centrale" ) from Google〕 is the main railway station of the Italian city of Ancona, in the Marches. It is the most important station of its region and is owned by the ''Ferrovie dello Stato'', the national rail company of Italy. ==History== The station was opened on 17 November 1861, when the railway line from Bologna was completed. The original structure, built in similar style to the one of Bologna Centrale, was heavily damaged during the Second World War and rebuilt few years later.
